Xbox One's secret weapon is finally firing live rounds

GR: Cloud processing. You're almost certainly dismissive of the term by now because after all the boastful claims of Xbox One's launch, almost nothing came of it. It's supposed to allow your Xbox One to communicate with vastly more powerful computers over the internet, using this remote extra power to make your games better than a $300 console has any right to deliver. Yet what have seen of it so far? Titanfall's AI bots (which don't appear to be particularly special and are currently being enjoyed by about two people) and Forza's 'Drivatar' simulations of real gamers. Which, if I'm brutally honest, behave like normal AI drivers, only with an extra little pang of disappointment.

Seagate's 2TB external Xbox One drive works like a charm

Destructoid: "Yesterday, Microsoft announced its first official HDD for the Xbox One in the form of a Seagate 2TB external. Although most units around that storage capacity are priced at $80 or so, the $110 pricepoint isn't too bad, especially when you consider Microsoft's previous HDD price gouging efforts."

Metal Gear Solid V on Last-Gen Consoles Looks... Fantastic?!

Added: 08.08.2015 2:00 | 15 views | 0 comments

Konami has released several comparative screenshots for Metal Gear Solid V along with all-important framerate information.

As expected, the PS4 and Xbox One will run at 60fps, though the Xbox One version will be limited to 900p with a "final output 1080p" and the PS4 version will run in native 1080p. The PC version can output a resolution of 3840x2160, so your experience will just depend on your settings.

The last-gen versions, however, will only output in 720p at 30fps. But with the magic of the FOX Engine, it would seem as though the differences will be quite minimal at least in the screenshots, apart from the one shot below that has different colors for Snake's robot arm.
